No mention of the Operating System / version, the Avery template number, or the software you are using to print the labels.
OK - lots of guessing...
In general, supported custom sizes paper of this size can be loaded in the main printer tray.
Reference User Guide
Printer include two trays:
1 photo paper tray for small paper
1 main paper tray for all other paper and sizes
In general,
Avery label (or other) paper loaded in this printer:
Print side down
"Top" to left side (NOTE: Orientation is not important if printing in Portrait)
Narrow edge front (and back)
If the label when viewed "upright" is wider than tall, Print in Landscape
If the label when viewed "upright" is more narrow than tall, Print in Portrait
Paper Type = Brochure or similar "thick" paper
If problems, Export completed Word template file to PDF
Print using Adobe Reader DC
Print a test sheet using plain paper (be sure to select the paper type in Properties).
