UNEXPECTED PAPER SIZE

we print a lot of marketing materials through our printer to tag products to be sent out to our clients. We have a 4.5 x 5.75 card that we have set up a template on excel and created a custom paper size in the printer app. If we add all the memo cards to the tray the printer states unexpected paper size and even if we continue it will not print properly. If we feed each card into the hand feeder slot then it works, but then you are going back and forth to the printer adding one card at a time.

Any suggestions besides being a new updated printer? Which is my next task if we cannot get HP to work properly.

When sending the job to tray1/manual feed tray, how are you referring to the tray. If you say manual feed, it will expect each page to be added manually.
