The most common cause of feed issues is a worn or dirty pickup roller. It can be cleaned with a lint free cloth that is dampened with water. If paper feeds part way then likely there is an obstruction in the paper path and you can use a piece of mylar to floss the paper path in the direction of travel of paper, never backwards as you can damage sensors.
