My great-grandson (5 years old) broke the document feeder off my printer [HP 7800Envy]. I was able to continue scanning and printing but a couple of days ago, I started getting an error message, "A scanner document misfeed occurred". After inspecting what is left of the feed rollers on the left side that pulls the document into the scanner I discovered a small blue flat ribbon cable disconnected on the back rear corner/ So far I have been unsuccessful in determining the proper connection point on the roller assembly. Is anyone out here who can shed some light on this situation?

can you post a good quality photo that shows the ribbon and the area you think it plugs into? I have never worked on this model but experience with HP gives me a pretty good eye at finding a location, I might be able to help.
