My HP LaserJet P2055dn feeds multiple sheets of paper when printing a document with more than one page. This creates a paper jamb. The printer is connected to the USB port on a ThinkPad Onelink Pro dock. I am using the HP LaserJet P205X series PCL6 Class Driver in Windows 10 64 bit. It is not that the printer grabs two sheets at once, but instead feeds a second sheet shortly after the first one has printed. No indications other than paper jamb are displayed. The printer is lightly used and was inherited with this problem previously existing. I have also tried operating the printer with the HP Universal driver but the paper feeding problem did not change.

Most common cause is a sticking feed solenoid which allows the printer to pick a second page before the first one is done. Can also be a worn separation pad but that normally results in multiple pages being fed at the same time. If you check you tube there are numerous videos on fixing this issue and it is pretty common across the line of printers. Just aged related failure of the damper material they use on the solenoids.
