paper does not feed

HP DeskJet does not feed the paper

I cannot find anything in my notes that is for all DeskJet printers --  there are so many models.

Guessing is useless.

What?

Most of the time and in spite of DeskJet printers being similar to one another, the Troubleshooting documents and videos are located within the DeskJet printer's own product home page in Category Troubleshooting > Printing

What to look for?

For example,

Problems with Feed might be the result of one or more of the following:

• Dirty Printer
• Unsupported Paper Size, Type, or Weight
• Paper supported but print job settings are incorrect, incomplete, or missing
• Tray and Paper settings (in EWS) are incorrect, incomplete, or missing
• Paper supported, Tray and Paper settings in EWS correct, but paper is too dry, too damp, curled, scalloped, or otherwise not able to travel through the printer to be printed.

 Enter the device type and model name of your HP product

Open Category Troubleshooting > Printing

Select sub-category (for example), Jams or Print Quality

Next, Select a document or video, perhaps one with the word "jam", "feed", or "quality" in the name.
