Hi @cbandy,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Check and Adjust the Paper Stack:
- Ensure the paper in the input tray is neatly stacked and aligned. Shuffle the stack to make sure the pages are not stuck together.
- Adjust the paper width guides snugly against the edges of the paper stack without bending the paper.
Inspect the Input Tray:
- Make sure the input tray is not overloaded. The stack should not exceed the paper limit mark (usually indicated with a line or a symbol in the tray).
Use the Correct Paper Type:
- Verify that you are using the recommended paper type and size for your printer. Avoid using wrinkled, curled, or damp paper.
Clean the Paper Rollers:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it. Access the paper rollers inside the printer and gently clean them with a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water. This helps remove any dust or debris that may be causing feed issues.
Reset the Printer:
- Reconnect the power cord to the printer and turn it on. Allow the printer to start up completely before trying to print again.
Check for Obstructions:
- Ensure there is no debris, such as small pieces of paper or foreign objects, obstructing the paper path.
Conduct a Test Print:
- Try printing a test page to see if the issue persists. This can be done through the printer's control panel or printer settings on your computer.
I hope this helps.
