Product: laser jet CP1518ni
Operating System: macOS 11.0 Big Sur

The laser jet continues to show paper jam even tho there isn't anything in the path,  I've tried unplugging while unit is on as suggested but that didn't clear the problem.  I know the printer is older and out of warranty and am increasingly frustrated by HP's 'customer service'.  What else can I try, I have several color and black toners that I want to continue to use , do newer HP's use 125A toner ?  if not I'll gladly switch to Canon

This is a very old color printer,  The jams are probably caused by a worn pick up roller, RM1-4426-000CN.  I would also replace the separation roller, RM1-4425-000CN.  Youtube has videos showing roller replacement.  You will need to enter the secondary service menu to rotate roller.

Hi, thank you, yes, I realize this is an old printer but it's been lightly used and well cared for so I'll order the parts and see if the repair is all it needs.  I have toner for it so I don't want to orphan it and don't feel great about adding to e-waste.  Unfortunately I just bought a mr cheapy laser yesterday before your reply so I'll try to do a return.  Thanks again !
