Hi @IntertekTexas,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are facing an issue with your HP LaserJet MFP M234sdw printer could be due to a few reasons.
Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
- Check for Error Messages: Look at the printer’s control panel for any error messages or status indicators that could give a clue about the problem.
- Paper Jams: Ensure there are no paper jams in the printer. Open all compartments and carefully remove any stuck paper.
- Ink/Toner Issues: Check if the toner cartridges are properly installed and not empty. Make sure they are correctly seated.
- Printer Doors: Verify that all doors and covers are properly closed. Sometimes a door not fully shut can cause the printer to beep.
- Check Connections: Even though you've unplugged and re-plugged connections, make sure all cables (power and data) are securely connected. Try a different power outlet if possible.
- Firmware Update: Ensure that the printer’s firmware is up to date. You can check for updates on HP’s official website. Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Reset the Printer: Perform a hard reset by turning off the printer, unplugging it from the power source, waiting for about 30 seconds, and then plugging it back in and turning it on.
- Consult the Manual: Refer to the printer's user manual for specific beep codes and their meanings.

I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Are you plugging directly into a wall outlet? If not, the printer could be overloading the surge protector or UPS you are attached to. Often people mistake the beeping of an overloaded UPS as the printer beeping. Printer must be connected directly to the wall.
