Product: HP officejet pro 6978

Need help with HP officejet Pro 6978 continue to say paper jam or now it is saying printer failure 6100004a..

@Tulip809, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

 

I understand you are not able to use the printer due to this error. Perform the steps mentioned in this document - A 'Paper Jam' Error Displays and  'Printer Failure' Error

 

Also, check if the carriage is moving freely, refer to - Carriage jam or E3 error

 

If the issue persists, I'm afraid this is a hardware failure. Please reach out to HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer. 

 

If the printer is out of warranty, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.
