Product: HP OfficeJet 5255 All-in-One Printer
Operating System: macOS 10.13 High Sierra

-- My HP 5255 will not print in color --

 

macOS 10.13.6 High Sierra

Print Quality Report demonstrates the printer CAN print in color.

I've updated all the Drivers and Firmware.

I only get Black and White printing from any application:  Word / Text Edit / PDFs / Preview

 

This is very frustrating... none of the suggestions I've found online have helped.

Wow -- after months of struggling with this, I managed to solve my own problem!

 

I went into System Preferences and DELETED my printer, and then ADDED it back... and now it prints in Color.  Woo-hoo!
