Hi, my WiFi went out last night, and I'm in the process of getting it reconnected. My question is: can I connect my printer to my phone without WiFi? I don't always use WiFi on my phone and would like to be able to print. My phone is Android, Motorola. Thanks in advance.

Hi @notageek15,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd like to help!
The HP ENVY 5665 e-All-in-One Printer is a wireless printer, and it typically requires a Wi-Fi network for you to print from your phone. However, you may be able to print from your phone without a Wi-Fi network if your printer and phone support other connectivity options, such as Wi-Fi Direct or Bluetooth.
Wi-Fi Direct: Many modern HP printers, including the ENVY series, support Wi-Fi Direct. This feature allows your mobile device to connect directly to the printer without the need for a Wi-Fi network. Here's how to use it:
- Ensure that Wi-Fi Direct is enabled on your printer (refer to the printer's manual for instructions).
- On your mobile device, go to the Wi-Fi settings and look for available Wi-Fi Direct networks. You should see your printer listed.
- Connect your mobile device to the printer's Wi-Fi Direct network.
- Install the HP Smart app on your phone (if not already installed) and follow the app's instructions to set up and print using Wi-Fi Direct.
Bluetooth: Some HP printers support Bluetooth printing. If both your phone and the printer have Bluetooth capabilities, you can establish a Bluetooth connection to print documents or photos. The process will vary depending on your specific printer model and mobile device, so consult your printer's manual and your phone's settings for Bluetooth printing options.
Please note that while these options may allow you to print without a traditional Wi-Fi network, you'll still need to ensure that both your printer and phone are compatible and properly configured for the chosen connectivity method.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
