My office has an HP MFP E87650. My boss would like to require users to enter a code while they are at the printer and then their jobs will print. If a user sends a job to the printer it should wait until the user enters their code on the printers touch panel to print. Is this possible?
All computers in the office are on windows 10.

UPD seems like it will solve most of the problem! Thanks so much for your help so far. Is there a way that printing from each users PC will defaults to “stored job” and automatically enter the job under their username and passcode?

Yes, you can secure print. It requires the use of HP Universal print driver which has a job storage model and if you set that as the driver defaults all jobs print as job storage. As well, you can configure many secure print features directly on the printer including a code just to copy or use other functions.

So if I put this driver on the users PCs they won’t have to enter their username and passcode every time they print? It can be setup so that they press print and they have to go to the printer and enter a code every time?
Also, the printer does have features to lock things down so the users need to go to machine to scan and copy but when they would print it would still go through. This is why I am thinking about the universal print driver.
