Photosmart D5069
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Connected directly by USB printer cable.  Cant see the printer.  Lost original disk.  Searched for drivers.  None found. Downloaded Print and scan doctor.  It cant see the printer either.  Worked fine before I changed computers.  What can I try next?

Thanks

It was already set to automatically download driver updates.  Still cant see the printer

Is there a driver download anywhere for this printer?

HP Recommended

Updated the list of printers but Photosmart D5069 is not on the list.  Closest one is D7500 series.  Will this work?

HP Recommended

Yes, you can definitely try installing those drivers.

Every time I do a windows printer update it shows a different set of printers. Now I see a photosmart 5520 and a 6570.  Tried both of them and nothing worked.  Is there not a D 5069 driver anywhere?

@SG7567

HP Photosmart D5069 Printer does not have a driver for Windows 10.

Windows contains built-in print drivers for many types of printers. These drivers support basic printer functionality for most print jobs.

I recommend you delete the driver at the root level and Install the drivers, follow the steps below:

Remove the USB if connected

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2.) Select your HP Printer

3.) Select Uninstall

4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose `Delete' or `Remove Device'

6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.

7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between "printui.exe" and "/s")

8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab

9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10.) Select Ok

11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12.) Close Devices and Printers

Then, Click on this link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c01796879 to install the Windows Built-in Print Driver.

Keep me posted, how it goes!

When I open programs and features there is no HP printer.  When I open drivers in the command prompt and select the driver and package it says that cant delete because it is in use.  Cant find it in the task manager

Try creating a local account and try installing the built-in drivers on that: https://support.microsoft.com/en-in/help/4026923/windows-10-create-a-local-user-or-administrator-acc...
