HP DeskJet 2752e All-in-One Printer

Forgot/Lost/Never Knew DeskJet 2700 Printer Password.  Ive contacted support multiple times, and the Fix is still unknown.  If I have to listen to one more, ..  Push these buttons, unplug, wait, try this password, well try this one then .. who makes it so hard to Factory Reset an Electronic Product these days, I mean why?

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

Question : Why do you need the password for?  The setup of the printer is automatic with the HP Smart app.  If any password is needed, it's the Wifi password to connect to the wireless network (and that password is set by you)

So let's try to reset the wireless back to defaults and use HP Smart app to setup and connect the printer to the network..

Here's some useful resources:

Number 1)  I bought this Deskjet 2752e.  So you have no reason to ask me what I need the Printer Password for.                                          ....Maybe I need access to EWS

....Maybe I wish to sell the printer

....Maybe I want to adjust printer settings myself

Your rude, overly condescending attitude is true anecdotal evidence of poor Home Training.

I NEED:

The Factory Reset (Complete Out of Box Restore) instructions for my Printer - HP DeskJet 2752e

I DO NOT NEED:

Rude/Over Entitled Customer Support Techs or their Condescending Questions/Attitude, OR to Reset the Printer Network Settings OR

help Resetting the Printer Network Settings, OR help Factory Resetting the Printer, once the instructions are received.

And I most definitely will not be giving 'Remote Access' to my Desktop to ANYONE. there has to be One(1) Tech Support Agent that can explain how to Factory Reset this Printer, or maybe even where to access the Printer Password from a Desktop with Wired Connection.

Thank You

Hi @Ewizzle79

Our apologies if you dislike the tone of the message, there was never any intent to irritate.

We're trying to help by asking questions to diagnose and prescribe the best solution.

Spoiler
Maybe I need access to EWS

Assuming the printer is connected to the network, key in the IP address into a web browser

(there might be a prompt saying it's "unsafe", simply go to "Advanced" and proceed to the IP address)

This will bring up to the EWS page.

Spoiler

I NEED:

The Factory Reset (Complete Out of Box Restore) instructions for my Printer - HP DeskJet 2752e

In EWS, go to "Settings", > select "Restore Defaults" to choose the option for Factory resets

Spoiler

....Maybe I wish to sell the printer

....Maybe I want to adjust printer settings myself

With access to EWS, that would allow adjustments to be made to the printer settings or sell the printer.

If it's the Password needed, there is no Password. However, there is a PIN and that can be found on a label in the cartridge access area.

Unfortunately, as Ive been stating, while in EWS, Factory Reset is selected,  *** Custom Printer Pin has been set- enter PIN to continue, or contact your IP Administrator for access *** Is the message I receive.  Nobody at HP can seem to grasp the concept that the EWS Pin has been changed, so I need either a Physical Button Factory Reset solution, or someone in charge of EWS systems to reset the Printers Pin.

Hi @Ewizzle79

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd like to help!

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP Printer. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

We have to perform a Semi Full Reset to unlock the features of the printer/Reset the password.

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Please click “Accepted Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution. Click the “Kudos/Thumbs Up" on the bottom right to say “Thanks” for helping!
