OfficeJet 250
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello - I just purchased an OfficeJet 250 printer and it keeps telling me that 'Driver is Unavailable' when running Windows 10 (64bit) over Wifi.  Everything connects according to the HP Smart Print app and the device is on my network and can communicate with the device, but the 'driver is unavailable' still appears.

I've tried everything - reinstalling the drivers, removing the device, updating drivers.  Nothing works.  I'm very frustrated as I really need to print this printer to work over WiFi. USB connection works just fine.  I've read all the posts that are out there that report this problem, but nothing works.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thank you

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

Seems that the printer is connected to the Wireless network (from your description).

Download the HP FULL solution software and install.

Download from Software - Utility the file "HP OfficeJet 250 Mobile All-in-One Print and Scan Driver and Accessories" and install.

This resource will be useful (follow the path above since HP has changed the location of the FULL software to "Software -Utility":

Hope that helps!

Thank you for your reply. I've just downloaded the HP Install as you suggest and tried running the installation software.  However, the only option i have available is to plug in via USB and even then i can't connect now.  The HP Smart App communicates with the printer and all seems ok from that end, but i'm unable to print or do anything now.

Is there any way to wipe your PC clean of all the installation of HP device drivers and software etc. and then restart the whole installation from scratch?

thank you!
