Hello, 
i wanted to update my HP printer Firmware. Manual said to login into Embedded Web Server using default id and password. After i logged in, it asked me to change password. I changed it, and now i cannot login because it says the password is wrong. I used password manager and i am pretty sure my password is not wrong.

Try this: turn on caps lock and type your password. Also note that passwords are limited to 16 characters, so if you chose a password longer than that, just type the first 16 characters.

my password manager generates 20 character long password by default. turned out admin panel silently only accepted 18 first.  i almost cried after 2 hours of searching for solutions on forums, trying to reset my printer to factory defaults.
