New printer. Inside paper says installation CD available - apparently not. This is a problem because I have very limited data available at my rural home. Nonetheless tried to go through download process, and somewhere along there I get this HP Smart download thing. I do not want any HP Smart stuff, I just want to print from my Win 10 desktop to the printer which sits next to it. In the process, HP does not recognize my serial number - it is CN01A?TOBK -the question mark signifies a vertical bar between the A and the T, on the tag. I tried i, I, and l, with no luck. And what are those "0", are they zeroes or o's. Anyway, is it at all possible to get an installation CD, or do I just need to return the printer? Thank you.

Hi,
An installation CD is no longer available for years, the drivers are available online.
You may download a basic print driver below, either from your location of from another location and use a USB stick to copy the drivers:
HP printer setup (Windows built-in driver)
Be sure not to connect a USB cable till the installation prompt to do so.

Hi,
An installation CD is no longer available for years, the drivers are available online.
