Product: Envy 5020

My new Envy 5020 will not scan when I try to scan a document that I put in the machine and press scan on the display -it  asks for software I can’t find, as 123.hp.com does not allow me to choose iOS 12 hen I am asked to enter my OS. 

‘I use iPad Pro and iPhone 7, both fully updated. 

‘Envy 5020 is successfully connected to my WiFi and tested - as I can scan and print from the hp app - but can’t scan directly from the display on the printer/scanner?

 

i have followed and completed all steps in installation- except signing up for the 15 pages/month free ink deal, since it’s too good to be true and therefore is probably not true, but I can’t find the catch in the terms yet....Just know there is no such thing as a free lunch!
