Product: Lexmark X5150
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello:

I recently downloaded Windows 10 64 bit Home edition to my old laptop. Appears to working fine, but my printer now has a 'communication' problem with my laptop and won't print. Worked just fine with Windows 7 64 bit.

My printer is an old Lexmark X5150 all in one ink jet printer, which still works well. Lexmark has discontinued ink jet printers as part of their business...and it does not appear that I can get an updated driver to work with Windows 10.

It has been suggested to me that I may be able to find a HP printer that is very similar to my X5150, and download and install the driver for the HP printer compatible with Windows 10, that may work with my Lexmark. 

Before I recycle what is an operating ink jet printer, I thought I would try to see if there is a work around such as this. 

 

Any and all guidance is appreciated. Thank you
