The ink cartridges keep on slamming into the side of the printer, and a "carriage jam" message keeps appearing.  I've tried all of the fixes I can find online, but nothing has fixed it.  It's only 1.5 years old and has been working fine until yesterday.

@upsgaljenks, Welcome to HP Support Community!

If you have already performed the steps from the document 'Carriage Jam' or 'E3' Error Displays and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

Hope this helps!

Thank you.  I've realized that this printer has probably seen its last days of printing.  I re-tried the steps and not only did they not work, the machine began making beeping noises, a blue light was flashing on the front, and the sounds coming from the machine when it did move got worse.

I've ordered another model, the 7155, and it takes the same ink cartridges, so I'm hoping this lasts a lot longer.
