Hi everyone
Every time when we connecting the laptop to a HP printer, those HP Google Drive plugin and HP Dropbox plugin are installed automatically. I know that we can uninstall it manually. However is there anyway to PREVENT the plugin begin installed?
Alternatively, is there command we can uninstall those plugin silently via PowerShell or Windows command prompt? We need to automate the prevention of those plugin installation or auto uninstallation.
Thanks.

Hi @MikeYam,
Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand that you facing issues with the Google drive/dropbox plugin. I'd like to help!
To assist you better, I would need a few details.
What is the OS that you are working on with your printer?
May I have the exact model name of the product? Refer to this document for steps to find the product details. Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.
Meanwhile, you may follow the steps below.
For better clarity and to assist you better I would require information regarding this:
- Did you activate it by any chance and log in?
For now, please try these steps:
- Please go to the control panel> Programs and Features.
- Then select the Google Drive Plugin and uninstall it.
- Then Restart the computer.
- It will not affect this device or any other computer on the network or any other device connected to the network. Hope this answers your question.
Perform all these steps patiently as it is critical to resolving the issue. Good luck to you. I will keep a watch for your response. Please note that I am not overloading you with steps but instead, giving you more information to work with.
We are as eager as you are to get the issue fixed. I request you to perform all these steps till the issue is fixed.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
Please click “Accept as Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution. Click the “Yes" on the bottom right to say “Thanks” for helping
