HP Laser Jet Pro HP 4101fdw

Trying to install a new HP Laser Jet Pro HP 4101fdw on a new Microsoft Surface Laptop with Windows 11. Does not install and I keep getting the error - "Service PlugPlay failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to to start system services.". See below. Please help.

1.  First install the next driver:

2.  Then use the Add Printer from Windows > Configuration > Printers > Add Printer.

Hi,

Thanks for your help. I was able to install the printer and print. But, the scanner does not work. I want to be able to scan documents and have it show on my laptop (on the HP app and not through email) so I can save it as pdf's. I was able to do this in the old laptop with Windows 10. Please help. Thanks.

You should be able to scan to a folder on your laptop directly in PDF format. Superior to using the HP app in my opinion.

I downloaded the windows Scan app and was able to scan documents to the laptop. Thanks for your help.
