Hello!
I have been using my HP LaserJet M1212nf MFP for printing and scanning with no problem until a recent Windows 10 update. Now I get various print spooler errors including: "Operation Could Not be Completed Error 0x000006ba; local print spooler service is not running, restart spooler or restart the machine".
I restarted the spooler and restarted the machine and the same error continued.
I made sure every Windows 10 update was in place and the printer driver was up to date and firmware was up to date. It was up to date. The same error continued.
I turned off my printer, unplugged it and plugged it back in, I unhooked the cables and plugged them back in and the same error continued.
I located and logged into my printer through its IP address and printed a test page from the IP address, which worked fine. I produced a photocopy of a document controlling the process through my printer's controls and it worked fine. Hopeful, I then connected my printer to my computer through a USB cable and it *did not work* giving me the same errors.
Next, I connected my printer to a different, older, computer through the USB cable and it worked fine, no problems.
I called Lenovo support and they wanted me to pay them $70 for software support even though my computer is still under warranty. Jerks!
I called Microsoft support for Windows 10 and they pretty much tried everything they could and none of it worked.
Finally, Microsoft support had me do an in-place upgrade. After the in-place upgrade, everything worked again! Woohoo!
However, something happened within an hour or so that created the same spooler errors AGAIN. I am pretty certain that it was another Windows update that caused the issue.
I did another in-place upgrade in hopes of making it work again, and it did not work this time. UGH!
I called Microsoft again and got more tech support. They boosted me to Level 2 support. Neither support tech was able to fix the problem. I was instructed to contact HP to get a driver for the latest update to Windows 10 even though I had the latest drivers from HP's website.
Is there a secret or undisclosed printer driver for my HP LaserJet M1212nf MFP that has not been published yet?
What could be the problem if not the driver? Is there any chance it is a CPU problem? Lenovo did replace my mother board around the same time I noticed the printer problem, but it did not seem to cause the problem right away. Could that motherboard replacement have caused the problem?
I am at a complete loss and my only option now is a super, secret driver for my printer or to wipe my system and reload Windows 10.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thanks for trying all the troubleshooting, firstly 🙂
Let's try to do a root uninstall and reinstall of the software:
Unplug any USB cable, if any, before doing this.
1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'
6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
13.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo
14.) Type c:/programdata and click Ok. Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.
15.) Restart the computer.
Once done, please download and install the software from here:

Let's create a TCP IP port:
1. Print a Configuration Page to get the printer's IPv4 address (you can also tap on the wireless icon on the front panel of your Printer to get the IP address)
2. On your PC, go to Control Panel, from Devices and Printers, right-click the printer and left-click Printer Properties, select the Ports tab.
3. Click Add Port, select Standard TCP/IP Port, then select New Port and follow the wizard.
4. Type in the proper IP address for the printer.
This video resource will show you how to do it:
