For whatever reason my HP7740 just stopped connecting to my MacBook Air (just coincidently) with my upgrade to Sonoma 14.4.1.  I can print from my iPhone 14 but NOT my MacBook Air anymore.  I've downloaded HP Smart , Easy Start and FirmWare updater all of which do the same exact thing... they find it initially but then STOP and get denied at the second step.  The message is either "No Printers Found" or with Easy Start it says it's "Gathering Device Information" for a few minutes then poof ERROR message "UNABLE TO COMMUNICATE WITH DEVICE" ... then why did it find it in the previous step!!!!    

 

I want to drop kick this printer out the window at this point, replicate that scene from Office Space if I can't get any help.  Forget PC Load letter this is the worst error message ever

Since your printer can print from your iPhone, this could be a compatibility issue with your Mac Sonoma 14. 

 

If you have already updated the firmware and used HP Easy Start, This needs one-on-one interaction with phone support via remote assistance. 

 

For that to happen, we will give you additional instructions/information via Private Message.

Can I also get support for my officejet 4650 that stopped working after Sonoma 14.4.1? It won't find my printer at all. Neither will HP Easy Start.
