I changed the default admin password of my HP Tango printer to a new one. But unfortunately after changing it is not possible to log in to EWS, the system tells me i typed wrong credentials.

How can I reset the printer to factory defaults including the EWS Admin password?

Restore the network settings to default.

● Press to turn on or off the printer wireless capabilities of connecting to a wireless network with a router or an access point.
● Press and hold for at least three seconds to restore the network settings to default settings. This will also put the printer back into the Auto Wireless Connect (AWC) setup mode. The printer must be in the AWC setup mode to connect to the HP Smart app and your network.

For more information, see Connect using the HP Smart app use the user guide: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06132580 and refer to page-no 29.

I have no problem with network connection but with accessing EWS admin panel. I asked about setting the whole printer to factory defaults

The above mentioned steps should reset the EWS password.

Did you restore the network defaults?

Cheers.

Yes I have reset the network settings. And added the printer as a new one to HP Smart App. But the EWS is further protected by an admin password. I can access the EWS Starting page but cannot select any subpage without entering a htaccess username/password combination.
