Have you tried re-installing the printer drivers?
Let's perform a Power Reset
- Make sure this printer is plugged into a direct wall, not a surge protector.
- Turn the printer on.
- Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. Disconnect the USB. Wait at least 60 seconds
- Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
- Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
- Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
- Connect the Printer USB cable to a different USB port on your PC.
- Try to print and scan
- If the issue persists, proceed to the next step
Remove and Re-add the printer from your PC.
- Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers
- Right click on the printer and check if there is an option called "Use printer offline"
- If the option is available, make sure it is unchecked
- If the option is not available, right click on the printer and select remove device/printer
- Click on add a printer
- Select Add a Local Printer
- Select 'Use an existing port' option and select LPT1 Printer port from the drop-down menu
- Click next
- Select your printer model and click next
- Follow the on-screen instructions and completed the setup
- Again, under Devices and Printers, right click on the printer and select printer properties
- Select Ports Tab
- Change the Port type from LPT to USB
- Click on apply and OK
- Check if you can print/scan
Let me know what happens.
