Operating System: macOS 12.0 Monterey

I am trying to install my Laser Jet M1136 MFP printer on my MacBook Air having a MAC OS of 12.2.1. When I choose the Mac OS 12 option and download the drivers, while installing it I get the error that this required Mac OS 12 or below. Does that mean that my printer cannot be installed on Mac OS 12.2.1
