Product: HP 8610
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

My HP 8610 printer was working fine with its replacement cartridges prior to a one year storage. I have recently taken it out of storage to use as back up printer,  and it now is requesting the original "setup cartridges" that were used and discarded awhile back. Anyone know to to fix this problem? Do I need just need buy another set of "setup cartridges, is the CMOS battery dead or whats the fix?

Hi @Chuck571,

 

We would have to perform an OOBE reset on the printer.

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
