Please provide the product's drivers as it no longer scans.
I've tried running HP Print and Scan Doctor 5.6.2, but it doesn't help:
In Step 1 it recognised HP Photosmart C4600 series connected via USB
In Step 2 - 'Fix Scanning' gave the message 'The full software solution for your product is not installed on this computer. It then takes me to the online help. However the software and drivers page doesn't provide any drivers, only the option to download HP Print and Scan Doctor i.e. the software that I've just run, so it's a circular reference.
I've also tried running HP Smart, but it cannot find the printer.
I no longer have the original installation disk so would be grateful if I could just download the drivers from the HP website.
Thanks

Please try HP Scan Extended using the following software
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi
Once it's downloaded and installed, for Windows 10:
(a) Hit Win key,
(b) Scroll down to HP group/folder,
(c) Double click "HP Scan Extended"
You can put a shortcut on Taskbar or Desktop
Regards.

Banhien: Thanks for your suggestion.
I have a similar problem with a HP Officejet J4560 All-in-One. As I upgraded Win to 10 over the years, the device worked fine. I used it almost exclusively for the scanner, since I have a separate laser printer.
Recently, I got a corrupted OS file and had to have the Geek Squad reinstall Win 10, including wiping the hard drive. I restored "all" my files through Carbonite. But now the J4560 will not work. It is recognized by Win 10 in the Device Manager, but there is a warning that "no driver is available".
I have the original HP software disk, but when I tried to install the driver, I got an error message that the installation process is not compatible with the current OS. I infer that the installation process itself is the problem, not the driver.
I tried to follow your ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi but it does not complete...just "loading" for up to 10 minutes (I gave up waiting).
Any other ideas?

Bahein,
Thanks, I tried that but HP Scan Extended just gives the message:
HP Scan
The HP Imaging Device was not found.
Any further suggestions gratefully received.
Ps. I couldn't download the file until I removed the initial characters, but got the file downloaded using ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi
