Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

after win 10 1903 update I have printer is not recognized. Reports no driver found. I have uninstalled all Hp programs related to 8710 and tried to install from original disk and web no help. Every time I try to install installation fails at plug in to USB to printer. Now when I plug in to USB port I receive USB device not recognized. This is a business  printer I need help

@JTboats, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

  • Have you tried connecting the printer wirelessly to the computer?
  • Try connecting the USB cable to a different USB port on the computer.
  • Make sure the USB cable is working fine.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and fix any driver issue

Click here to download the file. Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and click on 'Fix printing'.

If the issue persists, proceed to the next step.

 

Check for any pending windows update on the computer. Restart the computer. 

 

Clean reinstallation of Pre-installed HP drivers

  1.  In Windows, search for and open Programs and features 
  2.  Select your HP Printer 
  3.  Select Uninstall 
  4.  In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers 
  5.  In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’ 
  6.  Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo. 
  7.  Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”) 
  8.  Click on the “Drivers” tab 
  9.  Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom 
  10.  Select Ok 
  11.  Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows 
  12.  Close Devices and Printers, restart the computer.

Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and follow the on-screen instructions.

Try printing.

I followed your instructions and this is what I got. I have tried similar procedures and end up with same results. I have rebooted the whole network, no help. I have tried with USB connection, no help. I have powered down and unplugged everything, no help. I have tried manual connection instead of automatic using HPB44FFC, no help. With USB connection I get

I have used every resource you have recommendation, no help.

It can be accessed thru 2 other computers in the network with no issue but I cannot install or access it on the computer that it is hooked up to. Everything was working great till I upgraded the windows 10 to version 1903

Let's create a TCP IP port

 

1. Print a Configuration Page to get the printer's IPv4 address (you can also tap on the wireless icon on the front panel of your Printer to get the IP address)

2. On your PC, go to Control Panel, from Devices and Printers, right-click the printer and left-click Printer Properties, select the Ports tab.

3. Click Add Port, select Standard TCP/IP Port, then select New Port and follow the wizard.

4. Type in the proper IP address for the printer.
