I've cleaned the connections for cartridges individually and the contacts in the machine with alcohol and wiped them dry gently.  I've replaced the paper.  I've checked for jams. I've run multiple attempts to print and constantly get only part of the printing of the words (half vertically).  I've unplugged the device many times now.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled the cartridges, I've checked for software updates and my drivers are up to date. My ink levels are reported to be okay and no ink is necessary to reorder I use the ink services subscription). I just inserted a brand new hp ink color cartridge and ran the alignment print and all I got was black and blue. I was not prompted to scan the alignment page. So now I've wasted a lot of paper, perhaps have now wasted an entirely brand new color cartridge, and have wasted literally about 6 hours of my day.  Should I just give up and get a new printer?  I really need one as a teacher.  Thank you.

I forgot to add that the same problem exists when trying to print from Mac desktop with OS High Sierra as well as from Macbook with OS Ventura 13.2.1
