I have a brand new HP Color Laser MFP 178nw, when connecting on my network to the printer webpage leading to Embedded Web Server, I do not succed to connect to the account.
I tried everything : ID = admin with no password, ID = admin and password = admin, ID = admin and password = my wifi password etc. Nothing is working. I have no access to the Security tab. I've never set my own password.
I also did a network reset on the printer, no change.
How do I get through?

Thank you for your private message.
Unfortunately nothing is happening with the procedure provided, and I'm still unable to connect to the Embedded Web Server.
Situation remains the same, on the "Connect" window I still need to inform ID and password and none is working (I thought ID = admin and blank password was the default).
Any other hint?
Thanks for your support.

Appreciate you trying the steps.
I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding this.
If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
Have a great day!

Hi Thibbo,
Unfortunately no, I did not find any solution.
The procedure provided by the support (private message) to reset the printer did not produce anything.
The support suggested to call by phone the HP local support of my country, I had so far no time to do it so I will give up on this I believe.
