Printer works fine with my Mac laptop.  Trying to connect mac mini to printer.  It is recognized; I click on print and then nothing happens.  When I click on printer icon I see message "waiting for printer to become available"

@Pat161, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

I understand you are not able to print from your Mac mini. To assist you better, how is the printer connected?

Check the connectivity.

If you are able to print fine from the mac, it means the printer is working fine.

  • Which application are you trying to print from?
  • Have you tried printing different types of documents like PDF, Word, or Webpages and check if the issue persists?
  • Use the Airprint driver to print. Refer to this document.

Keep me posted.
