HP Deskjet 4100

Hi I'm in the middle of setting up my HP printer deskjet 4100. I've started the usual set up through the app. It's connected to the network and obtained the IP address in the first steps. It then says the printer is connected to the wifi and is ready to set up, I then click on this button and while it set's up it keeps on failing. I've pressed the wifi button and the wireless button to print out an information page and it has come up on the information page that the printer is connected to the network but the printer is not connected to the internet.

I have retried these steps 4 or 5 times and I have also tried to plug out the printer and take out the adaptor switch and then plug it back and re try all these steps, but it still isn't working.

Please what can I do next ??

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Let's restore the network settings on the Printer: Press and hold the Wireless button ( ) and the Cancel button ( ) from the printer control panel together for three seconds.

Once done, try connecting the Printer to the Wi-Fi again.

Let me know if this helps.

If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the Accepted Solution and Kudos buttons, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

Thanks!

Have a great day!

Hello,

I have also tried doing this but it hasn't worked. I have gone through all the connection steps including, 'preparing the printer', 'obtaining IP address' and 'finish connections'

Printer then connects to wifi and then proceeds to "thanks for waiting" which it then stops at and fails to set up. It then says the printer cannot be set up and to exit set up.

What other things can I do? I have also tried this after taking out the power adaptor and leaving it for 3 minutes twice already.

Thank you

Fergus
