Welcome to the HP Community --

What kind of support contract (software / hardware)  and  from whom did you purchase the contract / support package?

There are typically a few kinds of HP support that might include phone contact, including the following examples.

  • Initial Purchase / First setup support included with the standard Warranty - the support for software might typically be for the first two weeks, sure - maybe a month.  There after, first year (varies by product) for hardware.
  • Smart Friend monthly contract - phone support included. Details included later in this message
  • Possibly Care Pack contract, at least for those contracts that specifically include the type of support you are seeking and the region in which you live - Contracts vary.
  • Instant Ink Support - Phone included where available with the contract for the subscription to Instant Ink
  • HP All-in Plan - Printer - Software and Hardware support included in the contract

Reminders - READ

Online Case Submission to HP Support is available to those whose devices registered and are still in Warranty.

Some regions display phone / chat contact information only after the case is submitted online

Not every issue is covered under the standard Hardware Warranty.  Purchased Care Pack Warranties differ by contract.

HP is not a "general" repair facility: Requests for out-of-warranty repairs are usually not accepted.

If the problem is hardware, if your device is in Warranty, if your device is Registered, and you cannot submit your case to Support, let us know and we will forward a request.

Important

Never post private information in the HP Community!

HP Support does not free-post phone numbers for HP Support on the Internet.

Do not be a victim.

Stay vigilant.
