HP Color LaserJet Professional CP5225dn Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've encountered the 59.F0 problem on my printer. Based on other discussion on this board I purchased and installed the CE516A Image Transfer Kit. However, I ran into trouble at Step 41 ("At the product control panel, press the Home button. Select Administration > Manage Supplies > Reset Supplies > New Transfer Kit > Yes"). The printer doesn't have a 'Home' button, nor does it have an Administration tab.  I then tried through the web interface with a similar lack of success. Does anybody have any suggestions on how I would actually perform Step 41? Thanks.

I have tagged the moderators and asked them to have someone from HP contact you. The 5225 is a bit of an odd duck as it is based on the Pro series firmware which is not the same as the Enterprise firmware and the instructions you have sound like the correct ones for the 5525 and 750 and 775 devices. Hopefully someone has a solution for you as I see nothing in the service manual.

Thanks for your help. I appreciate the information that you provided on the history of my printer. (And I also appreciate the effort that you made to get the problem solved). M.

The ITB for the CP5225 series should be p/n: CE710-69003 and the reset count is automatic after power-up when a new original transfer belt is installed.

The new belt has a lever in a position ready to triggers a sensor in the printer after power-up and the printer then knows the new belt was installed and resets the belt count.

Thanks for the information. I shall go back and get the correct kit. Just as curiosity, is it possible to read the belt page count? Thanks again for your help.

The belt count is saved in the printer, so if you swap the belt that printed 100k pages with the one printer 10k pages the printer will still think that the belt count is 100k, it's not saved in the belt. It's important to turn the printer OFF when installing a new belt.

I've received and installed a new ITB Kit (CE710-69003). The printer still reports a 59.F0 error. When I attempted to print a document, the text still fades from the top of the page toward the bottom of the page. Just as a side note, Step 41 of the kit instructions still requires that the printer supplies be reset from the mysterious Administration page.

The 59 error and the poor print quality should be a top priority. You don't have a transfer belt issue.

The 59 error is probably caused by a sticky solenoid in the printer mechanics, which is a cheap fix but a lot of disassemblies, and the print quality can have several causes.

Unfortunately I have not been able to locate anybody in the area to service the printer. Therefore I have ordered the service manual for the printer. Once I get the manual, I'll check into the solenoid. The print quality problem is odd. Sometimes the print looks normal. Sometimes the print is missing a color. More generally the page just fades toward the bottom. Thanks for your help and observations.

Not your printer model but the steps are like 90% the same
