Scan settings in HP Smart

Is there any way to set the default scan settings in the HP Smart App to "ALWAYS" default the source to "Document Feeder"?  I will set the scanner to Document Feeder; scan a document and then it switches back to Scanner Glass in-between jobs.  I would like it to default to Document Feeder and only have the Scanner Glass option when I'm in need of that option.

Welcome to the HP User Community.

At this writing, the HP Smart application is not capable of saving edited Presets as Custom Shortcuts in the same way that the HP Scan can do.

What?

The Full Feature Software / full driver printer software includes HP Scan.

HP Scan can create / use Custom Shortcuts of your design.

Create the scan custom shortcut > Save the changes (new shortcut) > Leave that shortcut "selected" as the preferred job setup when you close HP Scan.

The selected shortcut remains "preferred" until you select (or create) a different preset / shortcut and save the changes.
