Where is the WPS OIN on my new HP Laser Jet MFP PRINTER

Hello @Patishann, Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the HP LaserJet printer.

We appreciate the opportunity to assist you and are glad we could help work toward a resolution. We hope our support has been valuable.

To help us get started on resolving your issue, could you please let me know the exact LaserJet printer's name and the model number along with the network setup of the HP device so that I can assist you further?

The WPS PIN for your HP LaserJet MFP printer is typically a temporary 8-digit code that appears on the printer’s touchscreen during the wireless setup process. In some cases, it may also be printed on an information sheet that the printer generates during setup.

Depending on your printer model, you can find the WPS PIN in the following places:

1. On the Printer Display (Touchscreen Models)

For printers with a touchscreen, the PIN is generated when needed:

  • Go to Setup, Network, or Wireless Settings.
  • Select Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) and choose PIN.
  • A temporary 8-digit PIN will be displayed.
  • This PIN is valid for a short time (usually 90–120 seconds), so it must be entered promptly on your computer or router.

2. On a Physical Label

If a default PIN is required for accessing the printer’s settings (such as the Embedded Web Server), check for a label on the printer:

  • Inside the toner cartridge door
  • On the back or bottom of the printer
  • Under the automatic document feeder (ADF) (if available)

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
