HP Officejet Pro 8610 e-All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

I'm constantly getting this error in Windows 11 update: "Hewlett-Packard - USB - 2/18/2019 12:00:00 AM - 40.13.1167.1948 - Install error - 0x800f020b".  I tried downloading and installing the latest drivers from the HP Website, however, every time I try to install any of the available choices, I continue to get the message that the printer can't be reached. I've manually entered  both the IP and that other printer number, but to no avail.

It is especially frustrating because I can both print and scan from this computer to that printer with absolutely no issues what-so-ever.

So, any ideas??

Thanks in advance!

Hi:

I recommend that you run the Hide Windows Update Utility that I zipped up and attached below to prevent that update from showing up and trying to install.

Download, unzip and run the utility.

It will find the update.   Check the box to hide the update.

If for some reason you ever want to run the update again run the Hide Windows update utility and uncheck the box to hide the update.

You will have to restart the PC to have the update not show up.
