Hi @Kengardener1952,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

To add a new HP laptop to your HP account, follow these steps:

Sign In to Your HP Account:

  • Go to the HP Customer Support website or open the HP app.
  • Click on Sign In and enter your HP account credentials. If you don't have an account, you can create one by following the registration process.

Access the Support Dashboard:

  • Once signed in, click on your name or profile icon in the top-right corner.
  • Select Support Dashboard from the dropdown menu.

Add a New Device:

  • On the Support Dashboard, click on Add your first device or Add another device if you already have devices listed.
  • You can add your new HP laptop by allowing HP to automatically detect the product, which requires the installation of the HP Support Solutions software.

Manual Entry (if automatic detection fails):

  • Enter the serial number of your HP laptop manually if automatic detection is not successful or if you prefer this method.

Finish the Setup:

  • Follow any additional instructions to complete the process and ensure your new laptop is successfully added to your HP account.

Take care and have an amazing day!
