HP 3630
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've been printing to my HP 3630 by wifi over my home network for more than a year.  Recently it stopped working: I get Error 0xe06d7363 when I try to print by wifi over my home network or by Wifi Direct.  I can print by plugging in the USB, and I can also print by wifi from an old Windows 10 laptop that I no longer use.  It must be the network printer driver on my Lenovo laptop that somehow got corrupted after working reliably for more than a year.  I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the HP 3630 driver, but that didn't fix it.

Welcome to the HP support community.

Did you uninstall the printer driver from the root level before installing the new driver?

If not, follow the below steps:-

Perform root level uninstallation to remove all the printer related software's.

  • In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
  • Select your HP printer.
  • Select Uninstall.
  • In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
  • In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
  • Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
  • Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
  • Click on Drivers tab.
  • Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
  • Select OK.
  • Remove all instances of the same.
  • Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
  • Close Devices and Printers.
  • Restart the PC again.

Download and install printer full feature driver

Click here to download the driver.

I hope that helps.

Thank you for your reply.  Before carrying out your instructions, I have a question. In the Devices and Printers window, there were two HP 3630 printers, one marked Network.  I assume the other one is the USB driver, which works fine but is inconvenient because I have to move my laptop to the printer and plug it in whenever I want to print something.  Do I remove the USB driver too?  Will the HP Smart app reinstall both?  Do I need to have the printer's wifi on and USB plugged in when I run HP Smart?  Thanks.

Yes, remove both and then install the printer driver to fix the issue.

I hope that helps.

Hi Sandy.  I started trying to follow your instructions, but in my version of Windows 10 64b, there is no "Programs and Features" window --see attached screenshot.  Neither is there a "Devices and Printers" window, but there is a "Printers and Scanners" window.  Do I just skip your first step and remove the printer in the Printers and Scanners window?  Excuse my persnicketiness, but I've tried several times before to fix the network connection to the HP 3630 by reinstalling the driver, but the maneuver never has worked.

This might require remote access to the computer to fix the issue.

I request you to talk to HP support.

They might have multiple options to help you with this.

  1. Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
  2. Select the country.
  3. Enter the serial of your device.
  4. Select the country from the drop-down.
  5. Click on "Show Options".
  6. Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.

I hope that helps.
