hp desk jet 3050 pop up message of INJEKT9. driverwil damage computer when trying to print or scan

Hello there,

A few months ago now I stopped being able to print from my Mac book air with the printer I have used for years HP Deskjet 3050.  I am getting pop up messages saying that Injet9.driver will damage your computer... This driver was downloaded years ago ( about5- 6 years) when I got the laptop... and I have never had problems with the printer before. I reported it to Apple and they say this is to do with some changes that HP have done which are affecting old drivers.

I understand from apple that I need to download a new driver but I do not know  which one. on the  HP support  page  my Mac OS Catalina 10.15.6 does not seem to appear .

Other laptops in the house with a driver downloaded more recently don't have this problem

Can  someone advise me how can I download this driver or get the printer to print from the laptop again please?

Please make sure your macOS is fully up to date to 10.5.7 by installing any software updates

Uninstall any existing HP Software by following the HP Uninstaller Utility below:

Note: if there is any error message or failure, skip it and proceed to the next step:

Next, download from Apple and install the latest drivers below:

Finally,  open System Preferences, and then open Printers & Scanners to re-add your printer. be sure to select the printer model within the Use drop-down menu.

Thank you, If the the Mac gets updated to the latest OS Big Sur 11 will that cause any problems?
