HP Officejet 4630 e-All-in-One Printer

I am trying to re-install my printer. When I search for the printer it does not appear on the list. I have connected it to the same wifi and still nothing.

Hi @FELIMART01,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP printer model 4630 is not appearing on the list of available printers when you try to reinstall it, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try.

  • Ensure Printer is Connected to Wi-Fi: Double-check that your printer is properly connected to the same Wi-Fi network that your computer or mobile device is connected to. You may need to print a network configuration page from the printer to confirm its connection status.
  • Restart Printer: Turn off your printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on. Sometimes a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues.
  • Restart Router: If restarting the printer didn't work, try restarting your Wi-Fi router. This can help refresh the network connection and resolve any temporary issues.
  • Check Wireless Signal Strength: Ensure that the printer is within the range of your Wi-Fi network and that the signal strength is strong enough for a stable connection.
  • Update Printer Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer on the HP support website. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve connectivity issues.
  • Reinstall Printer Software: If the printer still doesn't appear after checking the above steps, try uninstalling the printer software from your computer and then reinstalling it. You can download the latest drivers and software from the HP website.
  • Use Printer IP Address: Instead of searching for the printer by its name, you can try adding the printer using its IP address. On your computer, navigate to the printer settings and choose to add a printer manually using the IP address option.
  • Reset Printer Network Settings: As a last resort, you can try resetting the network settings on your printer to factory defaults and then reconnecting it to your Wi-Fi network.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
