Microsoft Windows 11

On a Windows 11 device (Microsoft Surface or equivalent), the Microsoft Store app is no longer visible or accessible from the Start menu, taskbar, or system search. This issue likely arose due to the accidental uninstallation or removal of the app, possibly during manual system maintenance or PowerShell-based troubleshooting.

Despite efforts to recover it via standard AppxPackage or DISM commands, the app remains absent from the system, leading to difficulties in downloading apps, managing purchases, or accessing essential system updates tied to the Store infrastructure.              this is my problem i have done factory reset also but not resolved

Hi @pranay71,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding reinstalling the Microsoft Store!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Open PowerShell as administrator:

  • Right-click on the Start button (or press Windows + X) and select Windows Terminal (Admin) or PowerShell (Admin).

Run the Command to Reinstall Microsoft Store:

  • Type the following command into the PowerShell window, and then press Enter:

Restart Your Computer:

  • After the command executes, restart your device.

Use WSReset Command

This step is a bit indirect, but it sometimes helps:

Open the Run Dialog:

  • Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog box.

Execute WSReset:

  • Type WSReset.exe and press Enter. This command clears the cache of the Microsoft Store, which sometimes aids recovery.

Check Windows Updates

Ensure your Windows 11 system is up to date as Microsoft may have resolved the issue in recent updates:

Go to Settings:

  • Click the Start button and select Settings.

Navigate to Windows Update:

  • Select Update & Security and then Windows Update.

Check for Updates:

  • Click on Check for updates to ensure your system is current.

Using Windows Troubleshooter

Open Troubleshooter:

  • Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.

Run Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter:

  • Find Windows Store Apps and run the troubleshooter to detect and resolve any issues automatically.

I hope this helps.
