popup message indicating hp updated printer and asked me to click on "next"--is this legit?

popup indicating hp had updated my printer. Needed to select--click--"next" to continue. Did not select. Msg did not come thru hp assistant. Is message legit?

 May I have the exact model name of the product? Refer to this document for steps to find the product details. Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.

Could you share an image of the pop up on your screen?

I replied to e-mail response yesterday. It's an HP Deskjet 2050 J510 series, but that is not what is important. The fact that the popup msg appeared outside of the hp assistant when I booted my computer concerns me. No, I did not have an opportunity to take a snippit of the popup because I immediately opened the assistant to see if I had a message there--which I did not. The popup was no longer on my screen when I switched back. If it happens again, I will immediately grab a snapshot of it. I am merely trying to confirm if it was a legit message from hp or a hoax.

if it occurs again , just try a take pic or right down the message so we can confirm what is it about.
