Problems setting up this computer (this is second computer, one is already connected) to my new printer Officejet Pro 8035.

Hi,

The printer is supported on macOS 10.11 or later versions, not on earlier versions.

 

You would need to update your operating system to a later version, with 10.11 or you may use Apple AirPrint and Apple Image Capture to print & Scan, from 10.13 or later you may use the HP Smart app as well.

You may upgrade your OS for free if your hardware support a such, check below support document from Apple:
