Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I did not get a cable (printer to computer) with this printer.  Am I supposed to buy my own cable or was this an error in packing?

You need to purchase a USB 2.0 printer cable.

Reminder:
  1. Before you install the Full Feature Software, disconnect the USB cable from between the printer and the computer
  2. Download, save, and install the printer software
  3. Connect the cable when instructed (toward the end of the installation process)
  4. After the software installation is complete, Restart the computer and log in
