Product: HP Photosmart 7960 compatibili
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard and older

I have an HP Photosmart 7960 that I would like to move over to my iMac OS 10.5.8. I recently installed the printer software onto the computer, getting the message that it was a successful installation, but when I tried to print, the printer would not respond. I did this twice.

 

Do I need to update the printer software? Is this even possible. I would certainly not want to have to purchase another printer, especially since I also owned (until recently) a very expensive HP 9180B. This was a beauty, until it wasn't.  Many, many, many problems. :[

 

Please let me know if I can continue to use the 7960 with my iMac. I have a new Macbook Pro but the iMac will be my go to for all art and design work.
