Officejet 6600
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Officejet 6600 failing to print despite all new drivers being installed and the wireless working. I keep on getting a message saying there is a problem with the printer or ink systems with the code 0X61011bed and to turn off and on the printer. I have tried turning the printer on and off numerous times in various ways and nothing is working. There's no jam as it did once in the past couple of days print out a status report. What can I do to get it working?

I'm afraid this seems like an hardware issue with the printhead of the printer. Let us try these steps to resolve this issue:

 

Reset the printer

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  2. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  4. Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
  5. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.

 

Update the printer firmware

Click here to download and install the latest firmware from your computer.

Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.

 

Try re-inserting the ink cartridges. The printhead on this printer is an integrated part which cannot be removed.

 

Refer to this document for more info on resolving 0x errors.
